Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked the departments concerned to step up revenue collection to meet their target in a time limit.
Chairing a meeting here with officials, he asked to prepare a department and district-wise list of tax evaders and initiate action to end evasion of tax and the role of middlemen through inter-departmental coordination, an official release said here.
Asking the officials to study the pattern of commercial taxes of neighbouring states, he minister stressed upon the need of simplifying formats for tax depositors.
