Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today expressed grief at the martyrdom of sepoy Shakti Singh who was among three security personnel killed in an attack on a security convoy by Hizbul Mujahideen militants in North Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Shakti Singh who died yesterday was a resident of Chatra in Jharkhand.
Condoling the death, the chief minister said the state was proud of its martyr and his sacrifice would not go in vain.

He prayed that the martyr's soul rest in peace and God give strength to his bereaved family members, an official release said here.
Governor Droupadi Murmu also mourned the death of Singh.
Not only the state but also the whole county is proud of Singh's bravery, she said, adding the soldiers were guarding the borders with alertness and dedication.
"History has been proof that whenever such destructive elements hurt the country our gallant soldiers had faced the challenge bravely and emerged victors," she said in an official release.
