Jharkhand CM lays on-line foundation stone of power sub-stn

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today laid foundation stone on-line for 132/33 kv grid substation for Khunti.

He also laid foundation stone for 132 kv Khunti/Tamar transmission line, an official release said here.

Addressing the occasion, Das said the government has pledged to provide electricity to 32,000 villages in the next three years.

Works on road and electricity were going on to strengthen the economy of the state, Das said and added special provision on road would be made in the next budget, an official release said.

The chief minister said Rakhsa Shakti Viswavidyalay would be set up in Khunti, adding skill training would be imparted to the people in Khunti and in the rest of the state.
 

In two years time, the shape of Khunti would be changed and smile would be brought to the face of the people, Das said.

Saying lac is produced in abundance in Khunti, Das said the government would purchase it at Rs 200 per kg and export it to four countries, the release said.
