Jharkhand CM takes part in 'Run for Unity'

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today took part in the 'Run for Unity' organized to commemorate the 142nd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel here.

Patel's will-power and vision had resulted in approximately 550 self-governing princely states merging with the country, Das said while addressing a gathering at the 'Run for Unity' programme.

Das said Sardar Patel's unfulfilled dream of developing India into a new India was being fulfilled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi post-Independence, according to an official release here.

India is emerging robust under the leadership of Narendra Modi, he said referring to the outcome of Indo-China stand off on Doklam issue in Sikkim.
 

China had to withdraw its army from Doklam, he said adding that national unity, integrity and love for the nation were the need of the hour.

Earlier, Das took part in the Run for Unity. State Urban Develop Minister C P Singh and former chief minister Arjun Munda were also present.

The unity run was also took place across the state including Jamshedpur, Khunti and Lohardagga.

A large number of people participated in the Unity Run organized by East Singhbhum district administration.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar flagged off the unity run at Jamshedpur.
