Jharkhand CS moots for need-based budget

Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma today said the economy of Jharkhand is development-oriented and to accelerate the same the state's budget should be need-based, inclusive and balanced,

Through pre-budget conferences the government makes efforts to know the requirements of the people and their suggestions, advice and guidance would be included in the next budget, an official release said quoting her.

Such industries should be promoted in which minimum investment was required, she said.

Productivity would increase with prosperous Jharkhand and to spread skill development network 100 Industrial Training Institutes were being opened.

People would be skilled through training service providers, and nearly 45 MoUs were signed in this regard, she said.
 

Referring to last year's pre-budget conferences, Development Commissioner Amit Khare said 600 people had given suggestions.

Among them a suggestion of a farmer from Koderma had led to the introduction of single window system in agriculture, making Jharkhand the first state where farmers have such facility, Khare, also the Additional Chief Secretary, said.
