Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed today condemned the Maoist attack on a police team in Pakur district and termed it a "cowardly act".
"It's a cowardly act by the extremists," the Governor said while expressing grief at the death of the police personnel, including Superintendent of Police Amarjeet Balihar.
"Sacrifice of these brave soldiers will not go in vain. This is a cowardly act by the naxalites and there is no place for violence in a democratic system. Everyone should join the mainstream instead of indulging in such barbaric and grisly attack," he said.
