Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said poverty and illiteracy is the root cause of all problem and his government was committed to eradicate it by ensuring development of adivasis, dalits, deprived and oppressive section of the society.
Unveiling the bust of Santali script "Ol-chiki" creator Pandit Raghunath Murmu and All India Sarna Dharam Chemet Aasra office at Kosapulia, about 90 km from here, in Baharagora block, Das said mineral-rich Jharkhand has immense potential for growth and the government was working to skill the people to achieve rapid development.
We are not in power to enjoy but committed to eradicate poverty completely, he said adding that development was the only solution to all problems.

After creating O-chiki script in 1936, Das said Murmu along with a person travelled to Bihar, Bengal, Odisha by foot to promote the language and the script.
Literature is the mirror of the society and language, culture and traditions are our assets, he said stating Murmu's creation of the script was aimed to preserve the identity and culture of the society.
Das said his government would take all necessary steps to ensure education in primary schools be imparted in Santali language in honour of Murmu.
Admitting prevailing illiteracy in the adivasi community, the chief minister attributed that illiteracy was the root cause of poverty and unemployment while asking the educated tribal youths to play a role to create awareness among the community.
The chief minister announced that the government would beautify the Jaher and Sarnasthals (place of tribals worship) and establish road and bridge to give impetus to the ongoing development projects in the state.
