The Jharkhand BJP today asked the leader of opposition and JMM working president Hemant Soren to recognise the fast growth of the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
In a statement issued here, the BJP state unit spokesman Praveen Prabhakar said, "Probably, the leader of the opposition, Hemant Soren, does not know the definition of development and that is the reason he is unable to recognize the development being done under the present dispensation."
It told Soren not to follow the footsteps of former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, and to recognize the positive work done by the Raghubar Das government in the state.

The leader of opposition, Hemant Soren, had reportedly said that dream of development in this dispensation was 'bemani' (irrelevant).
Prabhakar said that the NITI Ayog has said that the growth rate of Jharkhand was 4.5 per cent during 2014 (when the JMM-led government was ruling the state) while it has grown up to 8.6 per cent in the present year.
Prabhakar claimed that over one lakh people have been provided with employment in the state. But these developments were not visible to the leader of the opposition.
Prabhakar said, "Soren does not like business men, but if he really does not like them he should stop doing 'business' himself."
The problem of Soren is that he wants to do everything himself but does not want the others to do business while citing example of allegedly violation of the provisions of CNT/SPT acts by the JMM leadership, he said.
Prabhakar alleged that Soren purchased land covered under CNT/SPT acts, allegedly violating the provisions of the acts and he claims to be the torch bearer of opposition of the simplification of the acts itself.
He further alleged that Soren is not willing that the tribal and 'moolvasis' (natives) should do their own business by using their land. Prabhakar said that because of the "double standards" of the Soren family, tribals could not develop in the state.
