Jharkhand HC advocates' association boycotts acting CJ court

The Advocates' Association of Jharkhand High Court today boycotted the court of acting Chief Justice D N Patel as he allegedly refused to meet a delegation of advocates.

After the general body meeting of the association, presided by deputy chairperson Ritu Kumar, a delegation went to meet the acting Chief Justice who allegedly did not meet its members as they were allegedly late by ten minutes from the scheduled time, an advocate of the association told reporters here.

The association members alleged they waited for a long time but Justice Patel did not meet them.

There was no court in the afternoon session following the development, court sources said.
