Jharkhand HC condoles at ex-CJI's death

Jharkhand High Court today condoled the death of former Chief Justice of India Jagdish Sharan Verma, who died on Monday.

It was a full court reference with Chief Justice of the high court P C Tatia reading out the condolence message.

Condoling the bereaved family, the court remembered the distinguished legal service of Justice Verma and his report that became instrumental in shaping a strong anti-rape law in the country.

The speakers, who prayed that may his soul rest in peace, also recollected his extensive legal knowledge.

All the judges, the advocate general and a large number of advocates attended the condolence meeting.
