Greeting all the journalists on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, Jharkhand Minister Saryu Roy today called upon the media to play a role that would ensure keeping promises by the governments and organisations.
"More and more responsive and responsible role by the journalists will deter the governments and other organisations...Eliminating the gap between saying and doing (by them)," Roy, a journalist-turned-politician, said.
Roy, who is the Parliamentary Affairs, Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Minister in the Raghubar Das Cabinet, wished all the people connected with the press on the occasion.
