"When all the ministers and officials of other states are busy in dealing drought-like situation in the country, the minister (Mahto) and the officials going to the Olympics is unfortunate," the Union Tourism Minister replied to a query by reporters at the airport here.
According to sources, Mahto, Principal Secretary of the Sports department Ajay Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary S K Choudhary, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary D K Tiwari and women's hockey international player Ashunta Lakra yesterday left for London to watch the events.
"This reflects how the state government neglects the interests of the people," Sahay added.
