Jharkhand police announces rewards for Maoists hunt

The police on Friday announced reward money, ranging between Rs 1 lakh and 10 lakh, to capture 18 Maoist ultras in Palamau district.

While Rs 10 lakh will be given to those helping in the arrest of each of three Maoists, Rs 5 lakh reward money has been placed on head of six ultras each, the sources said.

The police announced Rs 2 lakh reward for two Maoists and Rs 1 lakh on the head of seven others.

The money has been distributed as per their designation and ranks in the Maoist's ranks, police said.
