A Delhi Court today granted Jharkhand Police three-days transit remand of Congress MLA Yogendra Sao, who was arrested yesterday from a slum cluster in the national capital.
Sao had been absconding after non-bailable warrants were issued against him by a Court in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand for allegedly floating an ultra outfit.
He was arrested yesterday by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police in a joint operation with Jharkhand Police from a slum in Shakurpur area here where he was hiding out.

Jharkhand Police, therafter, moved a court here seeking his transit remand to take him back to the state.
He was arrested in connection with an FIR lodged under the Arms Act as well as for facilitating commission of crime.
The case was transferred to CID, Ranchi which had received information that Sao, in order to evade the police dragnet, was hiding in Delhi, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Chand said.
"A joint operation was launched by Crime Branch team with Jharkhand Police and the possible hideouts and movements of Yogendra Sao were tracked in Delhi. Finally, Yogendra Sao was successfully apprehended by the team on October 4, 2014 at about 6:30 pm from the area of JJ Colony, Shakurpur, Delhi where he had his hideout," Chand said.
Earlier on September 1, Jharkhand police had arrested five members of Jharkhand Tigers Group and on their sustained interrogation it was revealed that Sao was allegedly providing arms, ammunition and vehicles to commit extortion, kidnapping for ransom and murder, etc.
They further revealed that Jharkhand Tiger Group and Jharkhand Bachao Andolan were allegedly formed by Yogendra Sao, the officer said.
50-year-old Sao was an ex-minister in Jharkhand and presently he is a sitting MLA from Barkagaon constituency of the state.
The former minister had on September 12 resigned from the Hemant Soren government after the head of Jharkhand Tiger, Raj Kumar Gupta, accused Sao of floating the outfit.
According to the police, he was previously involved in around 13 cases of murder, attempt to murder, rioting, criminal intimidation and extortion etc. In Jharkhand.
