Jharkhand ratifies amendment to reward on wanted in criminal

Jharkhand cabinet today approved the amendment to rewards on the heads of extremists, Naxal activists and criminals.

It also gave the nod to appoint 2,500 assistant police on contract in 12 districts - West Singhbhum, Chatra, Palamau, Garhwa, Dumka, Latehar, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, Lohardaga, East Singhbhum and Giridih districts, an official release said here.

The cabinet approved walk-in-interview to fill up vacancies in PMCH, Dhanbad and MGM, Jamshedpur, making flexible the rules, according to an official release.
