A nine-member Jharkhand men's team led by Mukesh Kumar Mukhi has been announced to take part in the 12th Senior National Rollball Championship to be held in Trivananthapuram from August 23.
The team was selected based on the performance of the players in the selection trial held recently, said its coach Chandeshwar Kumar.
The championship, being organized by Kerala Rollball Association under the aegis of Rollball Federation of India, will be held from August 23 to August 25.
Kumar said two of the team members - Mukhi and Monu Gupta have also found a berth in the Indian probables camp for the forthcoming World Championship to be held later in the year.
Following are the team: Monu Gupta, Ajay Kumar Prasad, Mukesh Kumar Mukhi (captain), Md. Wasif Khan, Vipin Agrahi, Irshad Alam, Afzal Hakim, Shivam Grover and Julen Gope.
The team will leave here for Trivananthapuram tomorrow, Kumar added.
