Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president Sukhdeo Bhagat today alleged that the social fabric of the state was under threat owing to intolerance.

Referring to recent lynching incidents in parts of the state including Seraikela-Kharswan, East Singhbhum and Ramgarh district, Bhagat alleged that the social fabric of the state was under threat as attempt were being made to disturb it under the patronage of the government.

The law and order situation in Jharkhand has "completely paralysed", Bhagat alleged at a press conference here.

On Jharkhand government's decision to withdraw section 21 of Chhotanagpur Tenancy Act (CNT) and Section 13 of Santal Paragana Tenancy Act (SPT) recently, the JPCC president alleged the decision was taken under pressure of the opposition camp.
