Jharkhand SHGs with Rs 1 cr turnover to get office building

Jharkhand government today announced to construct office buildings for those self-help group achieving Rs 1 crore turnover and to increase loan limit to Rs one lakh from the current Rs 50,000 to SHGs.

Talks in this connection have been held with bank officials, an official release said quoting state Chief Minister Raghuvar Das.

He was addressing the South Chota Nagpur Division Convention of Mukhias, panchayat secretariat assistants and SHGs in Gumla, in which women's SHGs from 31 blocks of five districts were present.

The role of women is important in the development of a society and they are axis of change in social economy, he said adding that the government was working at different levels to empower women.
 

The women should also come forward if the state were to be put among the developed state in the next three years, he said.
