Addressing a press conference here, the party leader in the assembly said the state of affair of sports department was so poor that the government has recruited only two District Sports Officer (DSO) during the past 12 years.

Of the 24 districts of the state, Yadav claimed, one DSO Dalsingha Ram was in-charge of 18 and the other DSO Sarvar Imam was looking after the remaining six.

Imam would retire within six months and then one DSO would be looking after all sports activities in the entire state, he said. "It would set a new world record," he taunted.

"We do not have dearth of sports talents but they were opting for other states as the Jharkhand government has failed to recognize them," Yadav said without elaboratiing.
