Financial Technologies and Multi-Commodities Exchange (MCX) promoter Jignesh Shah, arrested yesterday in the Rs 5,600 crore NSEL scam case, has been lodged in the same lock-up that once housed 26/11 Mumbai attacks terrorists Ajmal Kasab and Abu Jundal.
The ground-plus-three-storey building within the premises of the police commissionerate houses Shah's interrogation room-cum-bedroom. It is the same lock-up on the first floor where 26/11 gunman Ajmal Kasab and his associate Abu Jundal had been lodged during investigations at separate times.
There is no fan or pillows inside the lock-up, a police officer said.

Shah did not speak much in the lock-up, the officer said.
The lock-up is considered to be one of the safest places to lodge an accused, as no civilians or visitors are allowed there.
