Funnyman Jim Carrey might feature as a villain in the upcoming superhero movie "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" after he was spotted visiting the sets in March.
The rumor is sparked by an Instagram photo featuring the "Bruce Almighty" actor paying a visit to the movie sets, reported Aceshowbiz.
"It's Jim Carrey! He came to the spiderman set today! I wonder what he's doing there," a fan captioned the said picture.
Carrey might only have dropped by for a while, but reports suggest it could be a hint at his potential involvement in the second installment in the "Amazing Spider-Man" film series.
Due out May 2014, the sequel still stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti will be introduced as Electro and Rhino.
