Infrastructure major Jindal Group will develop a state-of-the-art training-cum-excellence centre in Hisar for athletes in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) as part of Public-Private initiative.
The initiative to develop modern training centre is part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity being undertaken by the firm.
The SAI will look after the selection and training part of the athletes while infrastructure upgradation and maintenance will be taken care by Jindal Group.

Development of sports infrastructure requires large investments backed by corporate support and PPP is a one point solution where private sector can bring in the required capital and public sector can create a conducive policy climate.
Thomson informed the proposal is in the draft stage and will be sent to the Sports Ministry for its approval once the modalities are being finalised.
"The proposal is with us and we are actively working on it. It will take us one-two months to come up with a final draft of the proposal. This involves several rounds of consultations between the interested parties. After that, it will be sent to the Sports Ministry and after their approval, the Centre will start functioning.
"The whole process will take 2-3 months and Hisar will be going to be the best sports complex in the country," he said.
