Polyurethane foam panel maker Jindal Mectec today inaugurated a unit at Pithampur industrial area of neighbouring Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and state Revenue Minister Rampal Singh were present on the occasion.
The Rs 70-crore unit is spread over an area of 9,000 square feet.
"We have made an initial investment of Rs 70 crore in the unit having strength to manufacture 18,00,000 square meters of PUF panels annually," Jindal Mectec Chairman Pawan Jindal told reporters.
