Stressing that there is no dearth of Central funds for educational schemes, Minister of State for HRD Jitin Prasada today sought sincere efforts at the ground level for increasing the ambit of literacy in Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking after reviewing the 'Sakshar Bharat Mission' here, Prasada praised the state for achieving an increase in rural female literacy, and assured it of all support in the execution of projects, an official spokesperson said.
The Union minister underscored the need for sincere efforts at the ground level to ensure that people can reap maximum benefit of the schemes.
Prasada also met state's Basic Education Minister Ram Govind Chaudhary and discussed steps being taken to promote education in the state.
