After a gap of four years, a high level civil-military conference will be held here on November 12 with an aim to develop synergy and better coordination between the Army and civil administration.
This was announced today by a defence spokesperson, who said the one-day conference will be chaired by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and Lt Gen Sanjiv Chachra, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Northern Command, will also attend the conference along with various other civil and military officials.

In the conference, civil and defence officials will discuss issues pertaining to land, welfare of ex-servicemen, and training areas for soldiers, he said.
The last civil-military conference was held in September 2009.
