JK Core group asks dist admin to expedite relief distribution

The Core group, formed to help the victims of cross-border firing from Pakistan, today directed the district administration of Kathua and Samba to expedite the distribution of relief to the affected people.

"The core group formed under the directions of acting Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir Justice Yaqoob Mir today visited relief camps where the victims of border firing are living," an official spokesman said.

"The core group visited the relief camps and directed the concerned district administration to assess the damage caused to life and property of firing victims so that the cases for disbursement of relief are processed expeditiously," he said.
 

Temporary Legal Aid Clinic was also opened at Londi village of Kathua district where para legal volunteers were deputed to listen to the grievances of firing victims and forward it to the district administration.
