Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today directed officials concerned in New Delhi to ensure that students from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, who are stuck in flood-hit Srinagar, are evacuated at the earliest.
The Jammu and Kashmir floods have hit nearly 250 students of NIT-Srinagar, including 50 Telugu students, according to a release from the Chief Minister's Office.
At a meeting with officials at Camp Office here, the chief minister ordered Government Representative in Delhi, K Ramamohan Rao and AP Bhavan Resident Commissioner Satish Chandra, to evacuate students from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and bring them home safely in a flight.
Chandrababu also appreciated their efforts in bringing 33 students back to Delhi from the flood-hit area, the release said.
