Additional Commissioner (Jammu) R K Bhagat will probe the allegations of use of force by police, officials said.

Bhagat said he would hold a two-day camp at Rajouri from May three for recording statements of civilians who wanted to depose before him.

Police as a precautionary measure had imposed curfew in the town on March eight after some unidentified persons pelted stones at a religious procession.

Later, police detained 17 local residents.

On March 15, a group of 300-odd people took out an anti-government procession to protest the arrest of locals.

In the ensuing clash between locals and police, seven people were injured.
