The Jammu and Kashmir government today said various agencies are assessing the loss caused by floods and hoped a clear picture will emerge in the next few days.

"Concerned agencies are assessing the losses and full picture of the damage will emerge in the next few days," Planning Minister Ajay Sadhotra said.

The Minister, along with some NC leaders, visited the flood-hit areas in Poonch and Rajouri districts and took stock of relief measures.

NC provincial president Devender Singh Rana said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has passed on necessary instructions to the concerned officials for carrying out rehabilitation and restoration works on a war-footing.

"In fact, efforts have been doubled to accomplish mission rehabilitation on a war-footing," he said.
