"There is a need for strictly implementing the building permissions issued by Building Operation Control Authority. The field staff of enforcement agencies will be held responsible for any deviation and stern action will be taken against them," Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said.
In a review meeting on the initiatives taken for beautification of Srinagar yesterday, he asked officers to issue building permissions keeping in view the provisions of Srinagar City Master Plan and traffic management system.
The directions from Chand came in the wake of reports that gross violation of Srinagar Master Plan have taken place during the last 20 years.
