The district-level screening-cum-coordination committee met under the chairmanship of Srinagar Deputy Commissioner Farooq Ahmad and discussed 19 cases of militancy-related incidents, an official spokesman said.

"Out of these, 12 cases have been cleared for sanction of cash in lieu of jobs," he said.

Rs 41 lakh had been sanctioned as ex-gratia relief in favour of the next of kin of the deceased and injured persons, the spokesman said.
