JK Guv calls for good arrangements for pilgrims

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today called for careful planning and satisfactory arrangements for the pilgrims visiting the Budha Amarnath and other shrines in the state.

The Governor, who is also the chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and Shri Amarnathji Shrine Boards, urged senior leaders and office bearers of Baba Amarnath and Budha Amarnath Yatri Niyas, the organisation looking after the pilgrimage, to ensure satisfactory facilities and arrangements for the pilgrims, an official release stated.

He asked the Niyas to prepare a practical plan for supporting the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board's arrangements for registering sadhus and provide them various facilities for undertaking the pilgrimage.
 

The Governor has also provided an assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the Niyas.
