Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today greeted the people on the eve of 'Navreh' and 'Navratra' celebrations and also prayed for peace and brotherhood in the state.
The Governor extended warm greetings to Kashmiri Pandits who celebrate the day as Navreh, which marks the beginning of their new year and onset of spring.
He observed that the Navratras have a special significance for the devotees who visit the holy cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi in large numbers during this auspicious period.

The Governor also prayed for this auspicious period to be the harbinger of harmony, amity, peace and progress in the state.
In her message, the Chief Minister prayed for communal harmony, peace, brotherhood, progress and prosperity in the state.
