Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today visited the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in Katra belt in Reasi district and reviewed the progress of ongoing projects.
The Governor, who is also Chancellor of the university, reviewed the status of various projects including construction of Vaishnavi Girls Hostel, Basohli Boys Hostel and University Faculty's residential block.
He asked Dr Sudhir K Jain, varsity's Vice Chancellor, to speed up construction of these buildings before the start of next admission session.

The Governor emphasised the need for modifying the university's Master Plan to meet current requirements.
Referring to requirements of hostel accommodation for both boys and girls, he stressed the need for more hostels for meeting the growing intake of students.
The Governor also visited upcoming Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence and reviewed its construction status.
