Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra has emphasised the importance of reviving and promoting the performance of street plays which disseminate powerful social messages and highlight the problems of the masses.
"There is need to revive and promote the performance of street plays which disseminate powerful social messages and highlight the problems of the common masses," he said.
Vohra was interacting with artistes of 'Natrang' who performed a Dogri street play, "Gatte-ch Manu" (man in the ditch), in Raj Bhavan here last evening.
The play is based on Kishan Chander's Urdu short story "Khadda".
