JK Lakshmi Cement today reported a 13.02 per cent increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 8.59 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2017.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7.60 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago, JK Lakshmi Cement (JKLC) said in a BSE filing.
Its total income was at Rs 852.03 crore, up 11.21 per cent, during the quarter under review as against Rs 766.11 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

It added that increase in diesel prices also pushed up the costs of both manufacturing and logistics.
The company's total expenses was at Rs 839.31 crore, up 10.26 per cent, as against Rs 761.19 crore earlier.
"JK Lakshmi Cement recorded a healthy growth of 15 per cent in its sales volume during Oct-Dec 17 over Oct-Dec 16," the company said in a statement.
Shares of JK Lakshmi Cement today settled at Rs 411.75 on the BSE, down 0.40 per cent from the previous close.
