JK Min removes two CAPD officials for food grain embezzlement

Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered suspension of two officials of Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CAPD) and attached one TSO on the complaints of alleged misappropriation of food-grains.

Acting on the complaints against alleged misappropriation of food-grains at CA&PD outlets Noori A&B in district Kupwara, Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today removed and attached TSO, Abdul Rashid Payar with Assistant Director, Srinagar (North) besides placing Storekeeper Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Lone under suspension, CAPD officials said.

The Minister directed the Assistant Director North to conduct a detailed enquiry into the matter and submit the report within next 10 days.
 

In a separate action, the minister placed under suspension of Mangat Ram, TSO of Batyas in Doda district, for allegedly withholding ration of the area for two months, which was to be distributed among the consumers of Mannu, Kota and other adjoining areas, officials said.

He has asked Assistant Director CA&PD Doda to probe the matter, they added.
