JK Police forms SIT to probe abduction of man

Jammu and Kashmir police has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to trace a person who was allegedly kidnapped by suspected militants in Sopore township last month.

The SIT was constituted by Deputy Inspector General of police, north Kashmir, to trace Mushtaq Ahmad Changa.

Changa was kidnapped from his house at Arampora during the intervening night of January 28 and 29, a police spokesman said.

His wife had lodged a complaint with local police station about the incident, the spokesman said adding case of abduction has been registered.

He said on the directions of DIG a special investigation team was constituted under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer Sopore for speedy investigation of the case.
