The BJP today set a target of winning 44 plus seats in upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls and finalised party's strategy in this connection at a high-level meeting here.
"We appeal to voters to support the BJP to achieve its mission of 44 plus seats in the assembly elections," party general secretary Jagat Prakash Nadda told mediapersons here.
Issues relating to coming assembly polls in the state were discussed at the party's core group meeting in the city, he said.

Nadda would look after party's overall poll campaign in Kashmir region, a BJP spokesman said.
The meeting also decided to organise constituency-level party rallies in August to reach out to people, he said.
