On the eve of Rajya Sabha polls, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad today alleged that BJP was coercing MLAs to get votes.
"We express deep concern over the unethical and undemocratic methods being adopted by the BJP for coaxing, cajoling and coercing the Members of Legislative Assembly to seek their votes for the Rajya Sabha elections," Azad said tonight.
"Such a tendency to manipulate and subvert the democratic process is illegitimate, undemocratic and unethical," he said.
Azad said that the way MLAs are being "chased" by the leaders of the "party with a difference" has exposed its democratic credentials.
