"The officers of civil administration and police should work in unison to ensure hassle free functioning of the ensuing Assembly session commencing from October 1," Lone said chairing a high-level meeting here.
The meeting was convened to review the arrangements for forthcoming Assembly session like security, parking facilities, uninterrupted electricity and water supply, issuance of security passes.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Speaker Mohammad Sartaj Madni, Director General of state police Ashok Prasad, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Asgar Samoon, Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad, IGP Kashmir SM Sahai, IGP Traffic Munir Khan, Secretary Assembly M Ramzan, District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan and other officers of various departments and Assembly Secretariat.
Lone said the police has to play a vital role in making the session safe and comfortable for all the ministers, legislators and officers of the government.
Lauding the role of security agencies and civil administration for making the previous Budget session a success, the speaker hoped that the coming session will also prove to be fruitful and significant.
He directed the Secretary GAD to ensure submission of reply of questions and other required information immediately to the Assembly Secretariat.
