JK Tyre National Karting Championship finale from tomorrow

The grand finale of the 10th JK Tyre-FMSCI Rotax Max National Karting Championship will be held on October 19 and 20 at North India's first professional 2-stroke karting track Wonder Speedway here.

India's lone National Karting Championship will see over 40 young drivers from across the country fighting out in three categories that will include Micro Max (7-12 years), Junior Max (12-14 years) and Senior Max (14 and above).

The overall winner in senior and junior max categories gets a lifetime opportunity to represent India in the Rotax Max World Karting Finals scheduled in New Orleans, USA in November. The overall champions in the same categories will get a fully sponsored drive in the JK FB02 class in the 17th JK Tyre Racing Championship 2014.
 

The country's top karting teams will be looking at the showcase event for crowning glory. While established outfits like Mohite's Racing, Rayo Racing and Meco Racing will be trying to stamp authority, rookie teams like Chennai's Dark Don Racing and Bangalore-based India Karting will be looking to make a mark.

With the qualifying and heat races scheduled for tomorrow, the final races will be held on Sunday. The finals will commence with the drivers' parade, followed by the formal inauguration of the track. After that there will be an exciting demo race by JK Tyre's brand ambassadors and World GT Car Race drivers -- Armaan Ebrahim and Aditya Patel.

The National Capital Region which already boasts of a world class Formula One Racing Circuit here now has added yet another feather to its cap with the launch of the professional karting track Wonder Speedway. Speedway.
