JK Tyre Racing Championship 2015 to kick start this weekend

Over 60 Rookie and seasoned drivers from across the country will line up for title hunt in the Round one of the 18th Edition of JK Tyre Racing Championship-2015 at the Kari Motor Speedway here on August eight and nine.

The racers will compete in three different classes---JK Racing India series, JK Tyre Volkwagon Vento Cup and Formula LGB 4.

Spread over four rounds and 32 races, the last two rounds at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.

Alessandro Ferrari who has overseen operations of over 1,000 races internationally is the Race Director of the Championship, where as seven times National Champion, Hari Singh ensures the safety of the participants.
 

Another aspect which is very striking is the increase in number of girl participants over the years.

Sneha Sharma from Mumbai who is a pilot by profession and Mira Erda a well-known karter from Vadodara will take part in the Formula LGB 4 category.

Ria Dabas and Neha Dabas from Delhi who are rookies will take part in the Volkswagen Vento Cup and these girls will surely to be a threat to the throne, a release said.

The championship has participants from cities such as Rewa (M.P), Sikkim, Assam, Mahabalipuram, Aurangabad, Kerala and with the world class racing track in North India, there has been an increase in the number of participants coming from North India

The world class karting tracks in Hyderabad too has contributed significantly in increasing participation from that city.

Championship is run under the aegis of Federation of Motor Sport Clubs of India and Motul is the official lubricant partner to the championship, the release said.
