Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik was today released on bail following a 13-day imprisonment at the Central Jail here.
He was arrested on July 3 and shifted to the Central Jail in view of a week-long protest calendar jointly issued by him and the chairmen of both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in connection with the first death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen "commander" Burhan Wani on July 8 and to commemorate the 86th martyrdom anniversary of those who fell to bullets fighting the Dogra rule on July 13, 1931.
"Malik was released on bail and has reached home," said a JKLF spokesman.
