JKLF today decided to support hardline Hurriyat Conference's planned march on November 7 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses a rally here and called for a shutdown in case authorities foil their plans.

JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik said his party had initially planned to hold a rally at Lal Chowk on the day Modi is scheduled to address a rally here but decided to support Geelani's plan "in order to avoid confusion".

"In case this (Geelani's) 'jalsa' (event) is not allowed by the so-called rulers, people should observe a civil curfew and total shutdown on Saturday, November 7, 2015," Malik said in a statement.

The separatist leader said mainstream parties in Jammu Kashmir have always deceived people in the name of government jobs, roads, electricity, water, relief and packages.

"Even freedom, autonomy and self-rule, like sugar-coated pills, are used to deceive people and bring them to 'jalsas' (events) and other government-sponsored programmes," he said.
