Four 'ReT' teachers were injured in police cane-charge here during a protest on December 26.
"We strongly condemn the state government for unprovoked and unjustified police action on the peaceful protest by ReT teachers," JKNPP Chairman Harshdev Singh said.
Regularisation of teachers who have completed five year of service, proper transfer policy and enhancement of honorarium from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 per month are among the major demands of ReT teacher, he said.
Terming the demands of the ReT teachers as genuine, he said the state government should interact with them and find a solution to the issue.
