Over 200 villagers under the banner of JKNPP protested, raised slogans and blamed the Panchari Block Sarpanch Rajinder Kumar for preparing false BPL list and keeping out genuine BPL people.
They demanded high level inquiry into the matter and dismissal of Kumar as well as drawing up a new list with genuine below poverty line persons in it.
They also submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur. The protestors said if stern action was not taken against the local Sarpanch, they will hold protest in front of rural development ministry.
