Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today held demonstrations against Governor N N Vohra's "failure" to dissolve J&K Assembly and "unethical conduct" of political parties to buy time on negotiations for government formation.

Party activists, led by its chairman Harsh Dev Singh, carried placards and banners during the demonstration here.

"The Governor's office could not be used as a forum by political parties for negotiations and settlement of their political agendas," Singh said.

"The constitution didn't allow the luxury of infinite period to political parties for the purpose and the state Governor was required to act having already given endless opportunities to the various parties," he said.

He clarified the BJP was resorting to "horse trading", offering enticements to lure its ex-ally.
