Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party today started a three-day protest in support of their demands, including re-organisation of the state, outside the district commissioner office in Kishtwar.

"Panthers Party has launched three days dharna for re-organization of Jammu and Kashmir and constitution of delimitation commission of the state," state president JKNPP Balwant Singh Mankotia, said.

He alleged that ruling coalition partner Congress has failed to deliver on its promise of constituting the delimitation commission and asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to direct his party colleagues in the state government to take firm measures in this regard.

"Congress leadership made false commitment and failed to implement its election manifesto," he said.

The JKNPP state president, meanwhile, also urged the PM to fulfill the announcement of releasing of 10,000 tents and ration relief and compensation to earthquake victims.
