Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today paid rich tributes to the student martyrs, killed by police in a college in Jammu in October 1966.
Led by JKNPP chief patron Bhim Singh, party activists paid tributes to the student martyrs who were killed at GGM Science College.
Students led by Bhim Singh was demanding establishment of Jammu university, Technical colleges, Ayurvedic college and upgrading the status of Agricultural graduates at par with MBBS and Engineering graduates.

Three students were killed in Science College on October 17, 1966 whereas student leader S Gurcharan was killed on October 18 in Kanak Mandi area of the city while the student procession was marching through Jammu streets.
While addressing students and National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) activists at the memorial site, Singh said the discrimination against students and youths has been continuing in the state since then.
